Park Model RV's and RV lots

What's a Park Model?  Looking for that special place to settle in for frequent family vacations or quiet resting time?  Snug Harbor now offers waterfront Park Model RV lots on Steamboat Slough, available by annual lease.  Go to Delta Map page for general location.  Park Model RV's are technically really recreational vehicles, just like motor homes, 5th wheels and pull trailers.    But they look and feel more like a luxury cabin or small home.   They are on wheels, so can be pulled off site when you wish.   **For Sale: Waterfront Park Models on site for viewing!!**  Go to DeltaRV link.

Want Waterfront?  Snug Harbor has developed these new waterfront sites to join the other sites already featuring Park Model RV's.  You first confirm a lease for your favorite site here, then buy the unit and set on your private site. Each site comes with dock space for your ski or fishing boat or other watercraft, as well as the necessary septic, electrical and water hook-ups.  Most of the designated park model lots are at the south end of our peninsula, near the south sandy beach, in the area we call "Vacation Village".  Suggestion: Take a look at the PARK MAP now to get an idea of the site locations, then come back to this page to read on.  Park Model RV site costs are $375 to $450 per month, depending on which site, how many people on the lease, etc.

What's the cost of a new Park Model?   How much a new Park Model RV costs depends upon the choices the purchaser makes, just like buying a new home or car.   The "extras" or upgrades you order make a big difference in the price.  As a general rule, park model units like the one pictured above can run between $35,000 to $50,000 for either a Cavco, Chariot Eagle or a Silvercrest.   With good financing terms, the payments will be between $300 to $400 per month.  The lot rental fee is charged monthly, $350 and up, depending on the lot you choose.  Utilities are charged based upon your use.  Where else could you come up with a nice, new, waterfront vacation home for under $1000 per month?!

Can I use the Park Model as my primary residence?   No, by county codes and Snug Harbor use permits, these units can be used for recreational and vacation use only.   We can store personal property, such as RV's and Park Models on site year round, but people can't stay more than 20 days per month.   In other words, no "live-ins".   By county code, only staff and owners of Snug Harbor can live on site.

Can I bring in my own Park Model unit or an RV I already have?  Yes, possibly.   Snug Harbor has designated some of the lots as available for RV's other than the Chariot Eagle or Silvercrest "Cape Cod" style.  These lots are also in the "Vacation Village" section of the park, just south of the boat launch.   However, we do reserve the right to monitor unit age and quality, and will not accept leases for units that don't meet the quality standard or "look" we'd like to achieve at Snug Harbor.  RV lots are available by annual or 6-month lease.  Cost per month depends upon the length of your lease.  Go to the Vacation Village rates page for details on fees.
